I am just beginning to research my great-grandfather, Elijah RUNYON .... I found him on the 1820 Kanawha County, VA census .... Would like to find a marriage record, I know he lived in Roane County for a period of time .... Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to find out who the mother is of Mahala Catherine JONES who was born 02 Apr 1861 at Leatherwood, Roane County .... She was married to Garson JACKSON and James TOOTHMAN .... I know her father was Norville JONES .... Some sources say her mother was Frances HARPER, others say Wilhelmina HARPER, yet others say Samantha LOUDERMILK .... I have been unable to locate any info about any of these women .... Can anyone help?

I am looking for any info about the lineage of Elijah TAYLOR and his wife Lydia BISHOP .... They settled in Roane County in 1845 after living in Russell County (supposedly) but I have been unable to locate any records for them in Russell County .... Some sources say that they are not related to the other TAYLOR'S in Roane County .... Can anyone help?

Looking for information about Christian MCCUNE (bn ca 1857) .... he was in the 1860 Calhoun County census .... Was he the brother of Sophia MCCUNE (bn ca 1840), daughter of D A and Barbara MCCUNE? Barbara married (1) ? MORGAN and (2) Zachariah HICKMAN in 1868 in Jackson County .... There is a Christian MCCUNE living with Zach and Sophia in the 1870 Jackson County census ....
