I am a descendant of George Washington FIELDS (via Elijah Laforce
FIELDS) .... and am trying to find out who George's parents were ....
Have 2 possible names of Richard and Samuel, but at a dead end there

1. Zeddakiah RAY (bn 1832) marr Lou Ellen CLATTERBAUGH (bn 1841 in
Walton)
2. Elizabeth J. HIVELY (bn 1860) married Samuel RAY (bn 1860), son of
Zeddakiah
3. The GOOD Family - Alex GOOD (bn 1837) last found in Roane Co. when
his children were born .... His future wife, Nancy E. BOOTHE (bn 1837),
was age 13 on the 1850 Jackson Co. census .... a dau of James Booth (age
40) and Elizabeth (age 36)
Researching any MCCANN families who moved to Roane County ....
Especially interested in Mary Ann McCANN, her birth, parents, siblings,
etc .... Would also like to learn of any
McCann's in the early 1800's
My father, Arthur Wellington WRIGHT, was born at Clio in Feb 1900 ....
I know nothing about his father except that he died in the late 1930's
and his name was possibly James or
Jim .... I live in Kentucky and unable to research in person .... Any

Benjamin Casto DEWEES married Marietta MCDADE on 19 Apr 1881 in Roane
Co .... They had one son, Samuel DEWEES .... Believe Marietta was 18
when they married and Benjamin, 53, was a Civil War veteran of Co K,
11th WV Infantry .... Would like to know more about the MCDADE family
and if Samuel stayed in Roane County?

Nancy Adeline SMITH was born ca 1855 (Kanawha Co?) .... Parents and
siblings are unknown ... She first married Thomas ADKINS in Kanawha Co.
and her second husband was Thomas EARY. Nancy EARY died in 1932 in
Kanawha Co. Does anyone have info on her?
Is anyone researching French CARPENTER? He was a well-known fiddler in
Roane Co.
His parents were Thomas Able CARPENTER (died 30 Oct 1942, Otter, WV, age
90+ yrs) and Mary or Martha PERKINS CARPENTER (died ca 1900) .. Was
French a descendant of Solomon CARPENTER of Braxton Co. or Ernie
CARPENTER, also of Braxton Co. and another well-known fiddler?
Researching William WESTFALL, listed in the 1870 Roane County census,
Spencer District, age 34 .... In his family is Rebecca A (age 36),
Hannah S (age 12), Eli M (age 10), Geo W (age 8), Jacob C (age 4), and
Anderson (age 1) .... Geo W may be my wife's great-grandfather ....

Rosa (MILLER) BRUMMAGE, both of Monongalia Co .... Silas and Eleanor had
11 children: Dilemma, Oliver, Viola, Marseen, Rebecca, Isaac B., Arzanna,
Roma, James F., Clement, and W. Scott .... Silas settled in Roane
County, WV in 1869 and owned a farm in Reedy District .... His address
was Frozen Camp, Jackson Co., WV ....
