Have info from Jackson Co. Wv Marriage Index 1831-1879 that my
great,great grandmother was from Roane Co. Her name is Savilla (or Sarah
Jane) STEWART. She is the daughter of John and Lucinda Knopp STEWART.
She was born about 1847 and married in 1869 to Charles Parsons WOLF from
Jackson Co. Savilla had brothers and sisters: Alexander, William P.,
Catherine, George W. and Luella. Any one know of this family??
Henry and Sarah SMITH: Henry born around 1820 and Sarah around 1828.
They are listed on Kan. Co. census of 1860 and 1870. The moved I believe
to Roane County because on Death Cert. and Marr. license two children
list Roane Co. as where they came from.
I am searching for the family of Rachel PARSONS, b. 3-2-1844, d.
3-5-1929 in the Amber Ridge area of Roane County. She married William M.
HUNT on 8-30-1865. I would greatly appreciate any help.

1891 d. June 4, 1973. He was married to Rosa Alice BROWNING, to the best
of my knowledge he has lived in Roane County all his life. I would

Kirkhart Cemetary in Newton WV, Roane County. It was also named King

Seeking information on Samuel LYONS b. born 1803 died ? married Elzena
or Elzara OBRION, (possibly Mohawk Indian.) Son of Samuel was William
Perry Lyons, b.3/20/1861 in Roane County, WV d. 3/18/1936 in Clay

I am looking for any information on my Grandmother Eva Gay LOWE. I
recently found out she may have been born in Roane Co. She was born In
1899 in either Sept. or Oct. She alway celebrated her birthday on Oct
19th but Social Security Death index list's it as Sept. 19th. The only
thing I know is she was from a large family (maybe as many as 17-19
bothers and sisters) though I believe they were mostly if not totaly

Looking for information on Jeremiah SWORD and his wife Rebecca who was
a Jackson from Russell Co, VA. Listed in the 1880 Census. Both born
between 1805 and 1810. There is a mystery about Rebecca and her sisters.
I come from one of them who lived in Russell Co, VA. Also seeking Harper
information on the other Asa Harper who was married to Eleanor Jackson.
