Rt. 33 East coming from I-77 or Ripley through spencer, continue on 33 East to top of hill. Turn left on Triplett Road at State Police Headquarters. Springston Cemetery is on the left going down long curving hill. It is very overgrown, and easy to miss. Very close to the road. This is just a partial transcript. Detail explained below.


Large double monument for husband and wife with the following Inscription: Here on their farm they settled in 1847.
William Springston- 1822-1889
Susan Springston- 1826-1917

James C. Springston - s/o. C.D. & M. & Springston

George C. Springston- April 16, 1825- June 29, 1887

Mary E. Springston – Aug. 10, 1836- Sept. 18, 1894

J. Lee – July 10, 1862 – July 10, 1891

Viola Springston – d/o C. G. & M.E. 1879- 1893

Sarah Short – d/o A.H. & C.S. - D.O.D. 1866

Lohengeb Short- Wife of John Short – Aug.2, 1868 –Dec. 16, 1888

Hester Bartlett - Oct. 12, 1896 – July 15, 1893

There are several stone markers we think to be grave markers and several unmarked grave sites visible. If anyone can add to these names, please feel free to contact me so they can be added. No one is left out intentionally and it may help someone with their family genealogy if you can add names to our list.
